In the midst of “30 Days of Biking,” Dan Olson reminds us that biking was big in the old days, too. And he points to photos from the Minnesota Historical Society for proof.

The first shows the interior of the Frederick Roach Bicycle Shop (519 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) in 1904.

The second is of the Flour City Bike Club in 1890. That name is begging to be revived, no? Or at least reclaimed from Rochester, NY.
