That lightning strike that sent the Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers scrambling off the field yesterday? Turns out it was a very close call.
According to the lightning location imagery from the Twin Cities branch of Telvent-DTN (see above), the lightning struck the upper deck canopy, and a second branch hit very near the center field wall. Yikes.
